Vaasa Rudolf Steiner School (Waldorf School) is a 9-year Steiner pedagogical school that includes the basic education curriculum and is part of the Finnish and international school movement. There are 24 Steiner Schools in Finland and almost 1000 around the world. The curriculum is international.

In a Steiner School, a child learns through diverse activities. Children are inspired through the subject, not in the hope of a grade. Bringing out the child’s own skills is part of the goal of a Steiner School. In a Steiner School, the same things are learned as in a comprehensive school, but in a different way and in a slightly different order.

A child can start a Steiner School right from the 1st grade or transfer to a Steiner School from a regular comprehensive school at any age (1st-9th grade).
